JGFP World Junior Team Championship 2026

EVENT OVERVIEW

Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP) will host the JGFP World Junior Team Championship 2026 at the Apo Golf & Country Club in Davao City.

This event will be an individual WAGR counting event where international competitors will also compete for the teams event. We will need to travel a team with a minimum of 4 players.

We anticipate a good event with teams from South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Brunei, and Laos  already committed to attending in addition to two teams being fielded representing the Philippines and our friends from Indonesian Junior Golf will also be sending a team.

This event will commence straight after our event at The Vines with the team needing to depart in the evening after presentations.  

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This event has specific entry requirements and we must enter a minimum team size.  Teams can be boys, girls or mixed to meet the entry requirement.  

Entry for this event is open to players who are 13 to 18 years of age on March 31, 2026 and have previously been a competitor at at least one JNR Golf Association of WA event.

At least one JNR Golf Association representative will travel with the group to the event as team manager, parents are welcome to attend as well.

Draft schedule:

April 15 (evening) – Depart Perth to Davao, Philippines.

April 16 – Registration and practice on course.

April 17-19 – WAGR Tournament Rounds

April 20 – Return flight to Perth

ESTIMATED COSTS

Final costing can not be completed until bookings are made.  There will be JNR representatives travelling with the group and parents are welcome to attend but travelling at their own cost.  (more details on request)

  • Return Airfare
  • Accommodation 
  • Breakfast Daily
  • Airport transfers
  • Transport from hotel to course daily
  • Event Entry Fee
  • Practice round
  • Event welcome dinner
  • Award ceremony meal
  • Team shirts (3 per player)
  • Official course caddies must be utilised for all players (a small caddy tip will be required – not included in costs)

 

The estimated total cost per player is approximately $2550. 

Parents:
Parents are welcome to attend and we can do our best to accommodate parents as part of the team travel arrangements.  Parents should note however that there are strict rules on spectators at these events, spectators are likely to be required to walk and meet the guidelines set down by the event organiser.
